Ross Stores Reports August Same Store Sales Gain Of 8%

PLEASANTON, Calif., Aug. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --Ross Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROST) today reported that sales increased 13% to $747 million for the four weeks ended August 25, 2012, up from $659 million for the four weeks ended August 27, 2011. Comparable store sales for the month grew 8% on top of a 4% increase last year.

For the seven months ended August 25, 2012, sales totaled $5.445 billion, a 13% increase over the $4.823 billion in sales for the seven months ended August 27, 2011. Comparable store sales for the seven months ended August 25, 2012 also increased 8% on top of 4% growth last year.
